In a statement released on their Telegram channel, the Sukhoi Design Bureau refuted reports of a fire at their Moscow office.

Throughout the night and morning, numerous incorrect reports emerged about an alleged fire on the premises of the Sukhoi Design Bureau.

“In this regard, we wish to clarify: There was no fire on the premises of the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The fire broke out on the premises adjacent to the former Znamya Truda factory,” the statement said.

The statement clarified that there was no productive activity in the area where the fire occurred, as these operations had been transferred elsewhere long ago.

“The Sukhoi Design Bureau has been, is, and will continue to be a constant presence, and not ‘old’ as some authors of nocturnal publications claimed,” the statement emphasized.

The company also informed that work is proceeding as usual, with new equipment being developed to meet the country’s needs.
